The Aya platform is genuinely excellent for job searching and credential management. The recruiter experience is where it falls short — mine was clearly focused on volume, not on finding me the right contract. Pay was $250/week lower than ProTherapy for an equivalent assignment in the same market.
Good technology, mediocre therapy division support. The nursing side of Aya is apparently very strong but that didn’t transfer to my OT experience. Recruiter was responsive but lacked OT-specific knowledge. I use Aya’s job board to find openings, then call other agencies to actually get placed.
Aya felt very corporate. The onboarding process was slick and digital but the human touch was missing. My recruiter changed once during my single contract. Pay was below my expectations for the market. Not my first choice going forward.
I use Aya as one of three agencies. Their technology is the best in the industry for managing multiple contracts and credentials. Their pay is consistently lower than my boutique agency. Best used as a secondary agency for location access or as a benchmarking tool.
Aya's technology platform is class-leading. For therapy-specific support and maximum pay, boutique agencies significantly outperform Aya's therapy division.
