About Travel Therapy Companies

Travel Therapy Companies profiles travel therapy agencies one by one and explains how to compare their offers, and it is published by one of the agencies it profiles. It does not rate or rank agencies: the public ratings on each profile are shown as their sources show them, linked and dated, with no score of the site's own.

What is Travel Therapy Companies?

It is a site for travel PTs, OTs, SLPs and assistants who are choosing an agency, switching agencies or talking to more than one at once. It has profiles and guides. The agency profiles say what each agency is, where it is based, the disciplines it places and its public ratings, and, where the agency’s own site was opened and checked, they link to it. The guides cover the questions that tell agencies apart in practice: how a package is split, what the cancellation clause says, what a non-compete clause can do, what to share with a new agency and when, and how to compare companies without a spreadsheet.

The start here page suggests where to begin. This page is about who stands behind the site and how the profiles are put together.

Who publishes this site, and why does it matter here?

The site is published by ProTherapy Staffing, a travel therapy agency that is PT-owned and operated since 2012. The ownership line at the top of every page says who publishes it, in the same words on every page.

That matters more here than on a general guide, because the publisher is also one of the agencies profiled. Its profile shows its public ratings the same way as every other profile, and it says that it is the agency that publishes this site. Read it as you would any other profile, and compare its written offer with the others before you sign.

What is this site not?

Where do the profiles' facts come from, and how do they stay current?

Each profile’s description is written from public sources: what the agency is, where it is based and the disciplines it places. The ratings are not typed into the page. They are rendered from one ratings file, so a rating and its date change together, in one place, when the sources are read again.

The guides point to official sources for the money and paperwork questions instead of retyping figures: the IRS travel expenses publication on reimbursements under an accountable plan, HealthCare.gov on job-based coverage, and the federal and state pages behind the hiring paperwork and contract guides. Pages that carry an updated stamp show the month their content last changed.

How are the ratings on the profiles checked?

Each rating was read on the source’s own page and is shown as that source shows it: the star rating where there is one, the share of reviewers who recommend the agency where the source gives it, and the number of reviews, linked to the page it was read from and dated with the month it was read.

The profiles show ratings from Glassdoor and Facebook only. A source that could not be cited the same way for every agency is left out, and an agency or source with no entry shows nothing at all, not a placeholder. Where a sample is small, the profile says so beside the figures, as it does on the publisher’s own profile. A rating tells you how a source’s users rated an agency when it was read; it says little about your recruiter, your facility or your package.

If you want one more written, line-item offer to set beside the others you are weighing, ask a ProTherapy recruiter: Find my next contract.

How do you contact the publisher?

Call or text the business line shown on the publisher’s contact page. A text there starts a conversation with a recruiter, so say what you need: an offer to compare, a question about a contract you have been sent, or a profile you think is out of date.

To report a fact on a profile that has changed, name the agency, the fact and the public page that now says something different. The short forms on the site’s pages reach the same recruiters in writing.

Frequently asked questions

Why is there no overall score for each agency?

Because there is no written, reproducible way to turn the ratings the site holds into one score. Each source's rating is shown on its own instead, linked to the page it came from and dated.

Is the publisher's own profile treated differently?

No. It shows its public ratings the same way as the other profiles, it says that it is the agency that publishes the site, and it notes beside its ratings that the sample is small.

Who receives a request I send through a form on this site?

The publisher's recruiters. A request goes to one agency, the publisher, and not to the other agencies profiled on the site.
